1. Nature of the Platform

Bharat Home Tuition is an intermediary that connects independent teachers and tutors with students and their parents or guardians, for online and offline (home) classes. We are not an educational institution, employer, recruitment agency, or staffing provider. We do not provide tutoring services ourselves and are not a party to any arrangement, engagement, or contract entered into between a teacher and a student or parent.

2. Information, Screening & Verification

When teachers and tutors join, we collect certain information from them. As part of our onboarding, we typically conduct a basic sanity check. This may include speaking with the candidate to form a general impression of their subject knowledge, and verifying identity using government-issued identification such as Aadhaar.

However, this screening is limited and preliminary in nature. We do not independently verify, authenticate, audit, or conduct background, police, or character checks on:

• educational qualifications, degrees, certifications, or academic records;
• teaching experience, employment history, or claimed expertise;
• the personal conduct, character, criminal history, or suitability of any teacher;
• the accuracy or completeness of any other documents or representations provided.

Any information we share about a teacher is accepted and passed on based on the representations made by that teacher, and a basic identity check does not constitute an endorsement, certification, or guarantee of that teacher's qualifications, ability, honesty, conduct, or fitness to teach.

3. User Responsibility & Due Diligence

Students, parents, and guardians are strongly advised to conduct their own independent due diligence and verification before engaging any teacher through the Platform, including verifying credentials, checking references, and assessing suitability, and to take appropriate precautions when arranging classes.

The Platform shall not be responsible or liable for any inaccuracies, misrepresentations, omissions, or claims made by teachers regarding their qualifications, experience, identity, or suitability, nor for the decisions Users make in reliance on information available on the Platform.

4. Safety of Minors & In-Person Conduct

Many students using the Platform are minors. Parents and guardians are solely responsible for the safety, supervision, and well-being of their children, including during any demo class or tuition session, whether conducted in person or online. We recommend that an adult be present or nearby during in-person sessions.

The Platform does not control, supervise, or take responsibility for the in-person conduct of any teacher or student, or for anything that occurs during a tuition arrangement once a teacher and student/parent connect.

5. No Employment Relationship

Teachers and tutors who join the Platform are independent individuals and are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of Bharat Home Tuition. The Platform does not direct, supervise, or control the manner, method, schedule, or content of any teaching.

6. Fees & Payments

Any tuition fees, charges, or payments are agreed and settled directly between the teacher and the student or parent. The Platform does not collect, process, hold, or guarantee such payments and is not responsible for any payment disputes, non-payment, or refunds between Users.

7. Disputes Between Users

Any dispute, disagreement, claim, or grievance arising between a teacher and a student or parent, including regarding the quality of teaching, conduct, attendance, fees, or any other matter, is solely between those parties. The Platform is not a party to and is not responsible for resolving such disputes, though we may, at our discretion, provide reasonable assistance.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree to provide accurate information and not to use the Platform to:

• provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information;
• harass, abuse, harm, or endanger any other User, including any minor;
• violate any applicable law or the rights of any third party;
• misuse, scrape, or disrupt the Platform or its data.

We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or remove any User at our sole discretion, without notice, where we believe these Terms have been breached or User safety is at risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform, its owners, and operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, loss, injury, or harm of any kind arising out of or in connection with the use of the Platform, any interaction or arrangement between Users, or any reliance on information provided by Users. The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bharat Home Tuition, its owners and operators, from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, or your interactions or arrangements with other Users.

11. Privacy

Information you provide is used to operate the Platform and to connect teachers with students. We share relevant teacher and student details with potential matches as part of the service. We take reasonable steps to handle your information responsibly and do not sell it. By using the Platform you consent to this use of your information.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to the Platform or these Terms.
